Write to Stardoll!

Thank you http://thestardollinsiders.wordpress.com/ ( i copied this!)

Do you think Stardoll is getting a bit too greedy nowadays? Well most people do. And to try & stop this from getting even worse we can all write a letter asking them to stop raising prices & making things for superstars only.

Maybe it will work & Stardoll will lower the prices and offer more to the non superstars, or maybe it won’t. But we will never know unless we try. So please write to them! We made a possible message for you, so it will only take a minute of your time!!!

FACTS :

- Out of 177 dresses in Starplaza, only 4 are non-superstar. 2 of those are old dresses (made in 2006 or 2007).

- There are 15 beds in the Minishop. Only 1 is non-superstar, but you need 600 starpoints. New non-superstar members can only sleep on a mattress on the floor. This was not the case in the ‘old Stardoll’.

- There are 20 sofas in the Minishop. None of them is non-superstar.

- There are 42 pets in the Minishop. Only 3 are non-superstar: 2 butterflies and a squirrel.

- There is a whole list of clothing items in Starplaza that used to be non-superstar, but now superstar. Overall if you check the ‘new’ area in Starplaza nowadays only shoes, accessories and plain T-shirts are non-superstar!

- A dress for over 10sd was unthinkable approximately a year ago. The regular price for a great dress used to be 5sd. Now dresses go up to 250sd! Prices have changed bit by bit, but compare it with 2006-7 and prices have sometimes doubled, if not more than doubled.

- Broadcasts used to be for everyone and much cheaper.

- Sales used to be for everyone. Even though non-superstars need it the most, it has turned superstar now.

- Make-up used to be for everyone.

- The stardollar / ss membership price has risen in some countries.

- Even though there are more members and more advertisements and sponsors on Stardoll, the prices keep rising!

- For one LE edition dress of 250sd you can buy over 35 regular items!

- You used to earn stardollars for inviting friends, now you get 5 starpoints.

- As a celebration for reaching 30 million members we get a plain T-shirt (like so many promo-shirts) and get a chance to buy a swinging star for 30sd and a plain re-made bag for 10sd! What a celebration!

- I could go on, but you have enough to read :)

Where will it stop?

We help determine that! Stardoll keeps raising prices as long as well keep paying them! Without paying members Stardoll is nothing. If we keep buying overpriced items, they will keep releasing overpriced items; it’s as simple as that.

We can at least TRY to stop this from getting worse, can’t we? Please find some time and write a short letter to Stardoll about this. Maybe if a lot of people write, Stardoll might actually do something!

For Superstars:

Admit even for you Stardoll has become more expensive.

You may think that it doesn’t matter, but I reckon that if everyone were superstar they would still be upset because it’s just too expensive and money would run twice as fast as it did in the olden days! Even with regular items: A shirt would be $6 and a dress $8. Now, you would lose your weekly $50 just buying 10 items pretty much! About a year ago the same shirt would be $4 and the dress $5.

+ If more things would be cheaper and non-superstar again, you would have to spend less money too. So you would gain too!

+ There will always be plenty of stuff superstar only, so you do get plenty for paying real money. (E.g.: extra rooms, extra album space, extra clubs, interiors, Real brand shops, StarDesign, Dorée, Starbazaar, etc.)

+ Will you always be superstar?

Remember this is a complaint towards Stardoll, not the superstar members.

For opponents:

Yes, Stardoll has to make money too. But they keep getting greedier. If we don’t speak up nothing is going to change that for sure. It’s at least worth a try. You don’t always have to swallow everything they change. Without us members they are nothing, so they ought to listen to us too. If you don’t think so, please let us try and leave us at that.

If you have reasonable arguments against ours, we are happy to listen, but (I’ll just say this up front:) let’s all stay friendly, that works best.

Dear Stardoll,

As one of your members I hope you can take a moment of your time to read this message.

With time Stardoll has evolved. Many amazing and fun things have come and keep on coming, but it seems to come at a price. Over time the Starplaza prices have risen, sometimes even doubled, if not more. And I’m not only talking about Limited Edition and real brands. The regular price for a dress used to be 5 stardollars, now it’s 8 stardollars.

There is not much left for members who are not superstar either: unlike before only shoes, accessories and some plain items are still non-superstar at the moment. We get more rooms, but can hardly buy any furniture for them. Stardoll has even taken away the sale for non-superstar members. This takes away the fun and interest in Stardoll. Of course superstar members should have extra’s and so they have many, but the list just keeps on growing endlessly.

We see more advertisements and sponsors on Stardoll, but yet it seems like members, who are mostly young teenagers, need to pay even more than before.

This is why I send you this message, asking you, Stardoll, to put a stop to this increase in prices and keep Stardoll fun for everyone. Even for members who are not superstar, because I wonder: Where will it stop?

Friendly greetings,

(Your doll name)
